My Take On BHOOTHNATH RETURNS - 'An Elegant Entertainer With A Solid Moral'

Bhoothnath Returns starts from where its prequel ends. But this time the plot targets elections, polls and how vote matters. This is quite a perfect backdrop considering the fact that general elections have already begun in our country. Boasted with splendid performances from its main casts & a neat yet amusing screenplay, this movie is a definite watch for all the citizens who must realize the essence of casting a vote that decides the fate of their livelihood & society. It also reflects why and how our crooked minded politicians have continued to rule & exploit people over the years. So the message this film imparts is highly necessary for everyone to understand. Both Amitabh Bachchan & the kid Parth have presented a top-notch act. Their bonding together is fabulous as well as endearing. Boman Irani is first rate too and so is Sanjay Mishra. The director has risen well in making this serious subject plot into a must view family entertainer. Yes occasionally this film drags with a few tacky moments. Plus there are too many dramatic portions that seem unrealistic. But then this is basically an imaginary/fictitious film where a ghost is contesting election as there are no better alternatives.

Thus, Bhoothnath Returns works overall as a fun-filled flick that focuses on some really crucial points regarding election, voters & their votes!

My Rating - 4/5

This one should be watched by one n all especially when polling for election is happening or about to happen everywhere.

My Take On MAIN TERA HERO - 'Varun Succeeds In Heroism, Movie Not So In Entertainment'

A David Dhawan film is meant to have a mad & funny lead star who does romance, dance, delivers one liners, beats up goons, faces chaos, comes out winner in the end and by doing all this, he shows his HEROGIRI. Main Tera Hero is just like that. Its an another typical David Dhawan movie that has a new age 'Govinda-Salman' combo in the form of Varun Dhawan who sinks his teeth into the character of Seenu. He only in his 2nd outing makes everything(acting, comic timing, multi expressions, dance, fight) perfect. Ileana & Nargis look sizzlingly hot but don't quite impress acting wise. But several fine actors in supporting roles as Anupam Kher, Rajpal Yadav & Saurabh Shukla expectedly leave a mark by producing some genuine laughs. Nothing much to say about the screenplay or David Dhawan's direction here as there is hardly any new thing we discover in this film. Puerile humour & tacky dialogues have tried to seem funny. But then that is often seen in David Dhawan's most films. His earlier ones were mostly saved by the fabulous Govinda & many popular songs. Similarly this one is watchable mainly because of Varun's amusing act along with its enjoyable tracks to which again Varun shakes his leg well.
Thus its a Varun Dhawan show all the way who makes his daddy's average timepass flick a watchable experience. But as a film, it no where stands in the list of Daddy David's best entertainers.

My Rating = 2.5 (Extra half for Varun's hilarious act)

Dear Frnds, don't expect much but get ready to be wooed by its rocking HERO who sparkles totally!
